IJF This is Judo app for iPhone and iPad

The International Judo Federation is proud to present ‘This is Judo’. This app aims to enhance your knowledge of the sport of Judo by giving you access to sections such as the rules of Judo, Judo Heroes, an updating World Rankings section and access to news form the world of Judo.

The Jewel in the Crown is the techniques section with it’s specially commissioned 3D Motion Capture created animations of the major technique groups. These animations allow the user to view the throws and sweeps in a unique view as we move around the Judoki to show the vital aspects of the move. The video content is dynamically controllable by the user, who can pause and restart and scrub through the videos in forward and reverse to get to the precise part of the technique.

The International Judo Federation believe that making this App available as a free download will help coaches, students and people who are interested in Judo get an enhanced experience from the sport .
